Reception
The reception followed the ceremony at Arkansas Air and Military Museum at Drake Field in Fayetteville, AR. The vast, all-wood white hangar, which houses an assorment of historic aircraft, is a large part of American history. It is one of the few remaining 1940's-era aircraft hangars. The hangar was filled with music from the swing era by the Jack Mitchell Big Band of Bella Vista, AR, who was accompanied by singer Les Lankhorst of Kansas City, MO. The back drop for the band was a large American Flag. The museum was decorated in a palette of ivory and black with a hint of soft pink to create a nostalgic and vintage feel. The tables were decorated with an assorment of silk and live arrangements including soft pink magnolias and ivory dogwoods accented with curly willow branches.
