Wedding Ceremony

The wedding ceremony was next to Hogeye Creek and officiated by Ron Durham. A single piece of white fabric hung from the trees to serve as an altar. Jami Lockhart, a long-time family friend, played pieces by Gustavo Santaolalla on an acoustic guitar for the traditional Methodist ceremony.

Bride's Dress, Veil, etc

The bride wore a classic Marisa wedding gown in antique lace featuring a mermaid silhouette, fitted with a Marchesa belt studded in Swarsovski crystals. Her oyster-colored veil was chapel length, and she carried a brooch bouquet that was handmade by her mother. She wore diamond earrings and a strand of pearls, both given to her by her parents.

Reception

The wedding reception was at the groom's parents' home in Hogeye, Arkansas, immediately following the ceremony. Sarah Hughes and Leah and the Mojo Doctors provided live music while guests enjoyed Penguin Ed's BBQ. The wedding cake was provided by Shelby Lynn's, and s'mores were served down by the creek instead of a traditional groom's cake. After a honeymoon in Paris, France where they first met as teenagers, the couple now resides in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
