Our Love Story

"We only took one class together in high school, and I was only in it for half of the year. We reconnected through video games, like true nerds, and spoke over our headsets while slaying dragons and shooting up the wild west for hours. We would often leave the games idle just to be able to talk about our days and other things like that. We lived one and a half hours away, so it was the only real time during the weekdays to "hang out", if you will."

The Proposal

"We were planning on having a relaxing getaway-from-work weekend and he had already convinced me that it would be a while before he could really be able to get a ring, so I had put the thought from my mind. When we arrived at the Botanical Garden in Hot Springs, it was a beautiful day and tulips were everywhere! We took several pictures with a camera that had multiple picture capabilities. So he set up the camera in front of a lakeview with tulips pouring over the hillside. As I stood amongst them, he hurried over to me to get in the pictures; he kissed me, stood back...and then got down on one knee. I was so surprised, the camera caught every second of confusion on my face, right up until realization hit. That picture was the best one, in our opinion! It was a beautiful day, and one of the happiest ones I've ever had!"
